Hi! My name is Bella Lightner and I am a 21 year old fashion blogger, social media influencer and aspiring creative director. I am currently living in Kansas City, Missouri where I work retail and manage social media at Standard Stye. I spent 2 years studying fashion communication at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and a semester abroad in Florence, Italy at Accademia Italiana. The art industry has been my passion for as long as I can remember whether the focus was painting, photography, music, fashion, etc. I have never wanted to do anything else. I truly enjoy showing others what I love and what I’m passionate about. I also think that looking into details of things is so important and something I am trying to focus more on. I hope to display my interest in fashion and style through everything posted on my site.

I got my start in the fashion industry by runway modeling. I went to the casting for Kansas City Fashion Week when I was 14-years-old and made it! I have modeled in nine seasons of KCFW and various other fashion shows and print projects as well. Through the years, I realized that modeling was no longer my main aspiration so I turned that position in for a press pass becoming official media coverage for KCFW. I have worked at five retail stores in the past six years; MODE Overland Park, Apricot Lane, Ann Taylor LOFT, Etiquette Boutique, and MOD On Trend, where I have learned so much about merchandising and retail in general.

I am an aspiring creative director and my goal is to turn this blog into a larger business eventually and to move out to either coast or international. bellalightner.com is a way for me to express my passion and to hopefully inspire others through photos and videos. I hope this blog brings incentive to it’s viewers.
