#KCFW F/W’17 Bubbly + Bowties – Outfit

Hey all. Kansas City Fashion Week has been an absolute blast so far! Last night was the official kickoff party, Bubbly and Bowties, held at R24 Studios in the West Bottoms. This event was similar to the past two nights when it came to networking but it was a lot more people and most definitely fancier. There was tons of great food and drinks along with a Dior Beauty table. The sponsors for KCFW this season are incredible!

This was a black tie/cocktail attire event and everyone was dressed so beautifully. I honestly did feel a bit underdressed but at the same time I wanted to express my personal style which truly is slightly more casual. HOWEVER, I was going to wear this periwinkle dress on its own until I realized that it was completely see-through just an hour before the event which is why I wore a white tee (and my grandmother’s slip, lol) underneath.

I was so excited to represent one of my favorite ladies and designers, Christine Nelson of AnnMann Designs! Christie creates some of the most beautiful pieces and I am so lucky to know her. All of the accessories that I am wearing are AnnMann Designs. I think that the cool tones of the dress and shoes mix with the silver metals just right.
