OOTD : 2/14/19

I was inspired by 90s fashion for this outfit! I layered a sparkly top over a mesh shirt with a chunky necklace to keep that Paris Hilton vibe alive and added the most amazing lavender snakeskin flares to make it fashionable. To top off the look, I threw on my favorite pair of chunky white sneakers that I wear like everyday.

Fuchsia Snake Dress

Long time, no post…. I was doing so well with posting regularly and keeping up to date but then life just kind of happened. If I’m being totally honest it is 10:00 P.M. right now and I’m writing and uploading all of my delayed blog posts to be scheduled accordingly so I can catch up. That was one of my 2019 resolutions and even though I got behind, I’d rather catch up than give up.

In these photos I am wearing this beautiful wrap mini dress that I bought at Zara while I was in Italy. The dress alone is pretty loud so I just paired it with some boots and called it good!

Night Out Dress in the Daytime

SO… I have recently realized that the majority of my closet is denim, white t-shirts, and going out (party) dresses. The first two in that category make an easy everyday outfit but why leave out those party dresses? For this blog post, I wanted to style a look that acts as kind of a guide on how to wear you going out dresses in the daytime and for everyday wear.

For this outfit, I chose my absolute favorite, go-to party dress I own. It’s tight, bold, and stretchy (therefore comfortable and can be shared with multiple friends). ALSO- I think I only paid a whopping $9 for it on Missguided!

To make this sexy dress more daytime, or even business, appropriate, I paired it underneath a white button up blouse giving it a more sophisticated aesthetic. However, to keep it fun and moving from day to night, I paired it with a funky pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes.

This little trick can be done with almost any party dress, whether you wear something underneath, throw on a blazer or jacket, or pull a skirt over the bottom half. Don’t be afraid to get creative here!

Pink Python

Online it says that this jumpsuit is red but in real life, it is totally pink… it also made for a cooler title. However, I obsessed over this statement piece for what felt like the longest time and I finally caved and purchased it. I ordered it online and when it came in the mail it didn’t actually fit how I imagined it would but I made it work.

I paired this snakeskin print jumpsuit with a white button up top underneath to make it more casual and wearable along with my favorite loafer slides. I have a couple other outfit combinations I plan on trying with this to edge it up a bit in the future.

This is another look that I shot with Madi Dombrowski and the last pic is one we took just for fun because that’s how I wanted to wear it originally but it’s just a bit too big and flowy for that.

I also wore this jumpsuit on my recent trip to New Orleans in a somewhat similar way and you can see that here!

Snakeskin Summer

Happy June!!

Hey everyone, I know it has been a hot second since I’ve posted on my actual blog but it has been so difficult lately to find time to shoot! I finally had a free day and my blogger bestie Brooke and I got to squeeze in a quick photoshoot.

Right when H&M launched their most recent ad campaign I knew that I needed these snakeskin print shorts. They are so much fun and pretty out there so I paired them with a plain white top and white booties. I think that keeping the rest of the outfit simple really helps to focus on the trendy shorts.

I have a couple of blog posts lined up for this month so stay tuned. You can sign up for my emails or, if you don’t already, follow my Instagram account, @bellalightner, to keep up with my daily life!
