Blue Faux Fur Jacket : Como Collabs Meetup 1

Sometimes it is hard to find the creative people in such a big-small town. Columbia, Missouri is small yes, but full of college students. It is easy to get lost in the crowd and difficult to find your way out.

Two Sundays ago, I met up with a couple other people who all have a similar interest; creating art in some kind of form. Together we collaborated on small photoshoots and after made the group official. The CoMo Collaboratives is “a community of creatives living in Columbia, MO”. Be sure to follow the official Instagram account and if you live in COMO come to a meet up or use the hashtag #comocollabs to be featured.

I ended up loving these outfits especially after seeing these shots. I matched the navy from my velvet striped pants to my faux fur leather jacket from Missguided. I feel like I was giving off a retro vibe with the flares. It was absolutely freezing so I won’t be breaking this outfit again until it warms up here pretty soon!

Photos are split up by Photographer. First is Rachel Leigh then Kassidy Jones and last Lexi Churchill. **There will be a part 2 post from this same meet up tomorrow

Admire Your Selfie

A few years ago, I met the coolest person in the entire world, like not even kidding. Molly Munyan is the funniest, most creative, and unique person I’ve ever met. She is a balloon artist! I met her when she was making dresses out of balloons and I have only watched her grow from there. This past month, she opened a temporary installation in Kansas City called “Admire Your Selfie”. This exhibit featured multiple areas of different backdrops composed of balloons, donuts, a swing, and more! It brought a ton of different people together to collaborate. My entire Instagram feed is nothing but photos from here and I LOVE THAT. I hope to see Molly do more like this in the future and I can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

Be sure to follow @MollyBalloons on Instagram as well as @admireyourselfie

VLOG 1 : SUMMER 2017 ROAD TRIP – NEW ORLEANS, PANAMA CITY BEACH, ST. AUGUSTINE, SAVANNAH

Hi! Thanks so much for watching my video. I have never done anything like this before in fear of what people would think or if people would even watch. I realized how much I love looking back on good memories and thought this would be a fun way to do so. I am so awkward in this video because I’m not used to this but, I had fun with it and plan to make more and hopefully get more comfortable talking to the camera in public places.

Derby Darling

As the 143rd Kentucky Derby is quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to do a Derby inspired look. Going to this has been on my bucket list forever and will continue to stay there until I get to go…someday.

This pastel blue dress is the perfect dress for the occasion. It is a beautiful color for spring and I love the mix of ruffles and lace. PLUS- it is on sale for under $30 here!!! I paired it with simple white strappy heels and OF COURSE, a big, beautiful hat! I wanted the hat to match the shoes and this white one was perfect. I am honestly not a fan of hats but it was a Derby necessity so I had to. At the end, I actually loved how the hat looked!

Also- I got to shoot with a new photographer, Emily Steele! This woman is so talented and hilarious she was making me laugh during our entire shoot. Stay tuned for more looks that we shot coming soon. Check out her Facebook page, here, and her website, here.

Banker Stripe

Hey!

I have always been pretty iffy about spending money on current trends but I really do love this blue and white stripe trend. I bought this blouse at Marshalls one day so it was decently inexpensive but still trendy and up-to-date. I paired this top with some of my favorite black distressed jeans and signature black booties (I’ll have to retire these soon sadly but it is getting so warm).

#KCFW F/W’17 Launch + Fundraising Event at Kendra Scott – Outfit

Hello!! I am in such a great mood because the Kansas City Fashion Week F/W’17 festivities have FINALLY begun! If you don’t know this already, I have been accepted to be an official member of the media team for KCFW! I have modeled in the past nine seasons of KCFW and have decided to change my path and see the other side of the runway.

The Kansas City Fashion Week launch and fundraising event took place at the Kendra Scott store in Leawood, Kansas yesterday. 20% of sales went to Kansas City Fashion Council which is “a non-profit that promotes the local industry by bringing together all aspects of the Fashion community to share knowledge and resources”. This was such a fun event and a great way to kick off fashion week while supporting a wonderful cause at the same time.

What better place to wear my Kendra Scott earrings than to an event at a Kendra Scott store! The cobalt blue Skylar earrings (discontinued) went perfect with my two piece set. I purchased this geometric set in Los Angeles last summer and I have FINALLY gained the confidence to wear it out. It’s a loud outfit and definitely catches people’s’ attention. I think that it is so much fun to wear together and to mix and match the pieces. Also, for this look, I got to work with a photographer I’ve never worked with before! Sara Clance is absolutely amazing and I love the shots we got! Check out her website here, and her Facebook page, here (we shot some other looks too, stay tuned)!

p.s. – stay tuned everyday this week for a new blog post! 🙂
