Hello from Europe!… Dublin, Ireland to be exact. I have been counting down the days since what feels like forever but it’s finally here! I’ll be traveling to other cities as well in Italy so definitely stay tuned for posts coming this week!
DAY 1
24 hours of traveling by car, plane, bus, taxi, train, you name it…we finally made it! Those long hours were so worth it because this place is absolutely gorgeous. Even flying in over the countryside was beautiful and I most definitely want to come back someday and explore the whole country.
On our first day in Dublin, we kind of just walked around the city and ate some good food. My cousin actually lives here so we met up with him! We took one of those touristy bus tours of the city which was tacky but also nice since none of us have ever been here before. This city is huge and so beautiful. Later, we met up with my aunt and uncle who also flew in and who will be spending most of the trip with us.

DAY 2
Now that we all finally caught up on sleep, we spent all of our second day doing things until we wore ourselves out. We crammed so much into one day, it was a lot but I’m glad my family is like this- I want to see as much as I can!

After walking around and visiting some cathedrals (Christ Church and St. Patrick’s) we went to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery. It was super cool to see the actual factory and the process and we got a tasting at the end of the tour. Also, we just so happened to be there at the same time as the Teeling founders and we got to talk to them.
Next we went to the Guiness Storehouse/ Brewery which was probably one of the most unique buildings I have been in. This place was huge and very modern. The tour was neat to see and we got a tasting and a free pint of beer at the end but it’s really a one and done type of deal, for me anyways.
To finish off our short time in Dublin we ended with drinks and dinner with our whole group. I absolutely love this city and want to come back and spend more time exploring. I also now want to visit the rest of the country. The people are so friendly and the views are amazing.
