Some of my favorite things to watch on YouTube are monthly favorites videos so I thought, why not start doing my own monthly favorites here on my blog! I have decided to post one of these at the end of every month featuring some of my favorite things.

The month of April has honestly been so stressful but only 3 more finals and I am done with my freshman year of college. This summer is going to be the busiest summer of my life; a good kind of busy. I have an internship with local Kansas City fashion blogger and stylist, Melanie Knopke (aka – KC Style Scout) and I’ll be working at (hopefully) a retail store (will confirm where soon :)). I plan on making couple of trips around the country this summer and have an insane amount of upcoming projects and blog posts…get excited.

This month, I retired my old black on black Tommy Hilfiger aviators for a new pair of black on black aviators from BP. I know, really changing things up. I love these sunglasses so much and they were only $12. I can’t imagine spending a large amount of money on my everyday shades just because of how clumsy I can be. One of my favorite clothing items this April was definitely my pink surplice bodysuit that I purchased at Etiquette Boutique. Similar version can be purchased here. I have worn this so many times, so many various ways. It’s soft, comfortable and actually fits my super tall self. I featured it in a blog post earlier this month, here.

My other favorite clothing item of the month is this denim romper. I purchased this at Cha Boutique in downtown Columbia, MO on super clearance and I am in love with it. It’s such a fun piece and also very comfortable, which is important to me. Also, it has pockets and you can’t go wrong with pockets. I styled it on my blog the other day, here.

I have three makeup products that I have been obsessing over recently. First, the MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer from the Sephora Collection is, to me, the BEST way to highlight your cheekbones. It’s also decently priced for how good it is. Second, I love and swear by the Melted Matte Lipstick from Too Faced in the color “Child Star”. It’s the perfect warm toned nude color and the product itself is not drying but still lasts forever. Last, but definitely not least, I love the Better than Sex Mascara from Too Faced. Everyone and their mother talks so highly about this product and I didn’t see why until I tried it out. It’s like wearing falsies!

I am obsessed with these chokers from Mary Kathryn Designs. She is a jewelry designer out of Alabama and has the cutest things! I found her on Instagram and fell in love with everything she creates. Last but not least, my favorite show this month is Girl Boss!!! Girl Boss is about how Sophia Amoruso started Nasty Gal on eBay and turned it into something huge. I binge watched the whole first season in a day (not even kidding). It is the perfect amount of everything you would look for in a show and more. I honestly felt inspired by it to be my own girl boss. 10/10 recommend.
