MORE SPACE

This idea of “more space” was inspired by a shirt I picked up at Arizona Trading Co, a buy sell trade consignment store, in Kansas City, Missouri. I found this completely tattered lace up shirt that was 3 sizes larger than I needed and knew that it was my new favorite piece. I loved it so much that I looked it up online and realized that the top did not originally come with the tattering and lace up detail. Someone must have customized this shirt themselves and it is special to me because it is one of a kind! You can purchase the original shirt from Sub_Urban Riot here.

The shirt has an astronaut on it with the phrase “I need more space” meaning literal space. I took this figuratively making this shoot portray a girl who needs more alone time. She is dressed all rugged like and the photos give off eerie and sad tones. She is stressed out and realizes that she needs a break and time for herself. As pleasantly overwhelming the hustle and bustle of the real world is, there comes a time where peace and quiet becomes necessary.
